The result, a high voltage colored story shot by famed fashion photographer William Cudd, featuring some of the most exciting parts of the hotel.

The movement has become a global phenomenon with roots throughout pop culture, including and most recently, the fashion industry. James interviewed designers, included quotes from influential revolutionaries such as Malcolm X, Assata Shakur, and Gil Scott Heron for the written elements. James Styles Kriss Mincey for Soul Train

fullsizerenderMost recently James has been working with Jazz/R&B fusion chanteuse Kriss Mincey. To date, he’s styled her for appearances during New York Fashion Week, Forbes Magazine’s 30 Under 30, and last weekend, the Soul Train Awards. Hosted by Erykah Badu, the Soul Train Awards is one of those special weekends that brings together real singers with real voices. Kriss is one such singer who led the audience in a rendition of Brandy’s “I Wanna Be Down,” a performance that was made even more special because that night Brandy was being honored. Kriss is wearing a custom gown with crystal applique along the shoulder and a shawl one sleeve train.
