We’re so excited to wrap the first season of Styled by James – the live touring fashion talk show hosted by James himself. On June 25th, James is coming to South Moon Under in Philadelphia on Chestnut Street from 11 to 4 p.m. and the event is completely free and open to the public.
During his show, James has several segments including a Fashion Police program featuring Harper’s Bazaar contributing editor Arnold Milfort, Vh1 stylist Devon Milan, and personal style blogger Kia Denise with two more names to be announced closer to the program.
James continues his partnership with South Moon Under with a new campaign in anticipation of the season finale of Styled by James The Tour. On Saturday, June 25th, James will be coming to South Moon Under’s Philadelphia store to host his show and shop with customers after. If you’d like tickets, click here.
Recently Vogue asked to write critically about the fashion from Beyonce’s newest project, Lemonade. The result — a feature on the visual album’s West African influence with a concentration on Yoruba folklore. Do you remember the yellow Cavalli dress from her “Hold Up” song? This morning after providing fashion coverage of the late Prince for Vogue Italy, James jetted to New Haven for an appearance on the local morning show CT Style for Connecticut’s ABC affiliate. James talked a bit about swimwear, Oprah adopting him, and his talk show Styled by James. Check it out here and below:
James and his team at Styled by James & Co. was saddened by the news of Prince’s passing. Not only was he a stellar vocalist, but he was also a fashion icon in the truest sense. James’ editor asked him to write on Prince’s impact on fashion, purple, and his blending of genders as only he could do. Read his story here.
We announced earlier that the next stop on the Styled by James Tour is Westport, Connecticut at South Moon Under. We’re pleased to announce the Fashion Police segment that will happen during the show. James is sitting with some of Connecticut’s finest to dish on celebrity style and red carpet.
James is presenting on fashion during the 60s specifically from the Black Power Movement at the African American Museum in Philadelphia on April 16th. The event is free and open to the public, but attendees must first register here. James was selected to lecture after his research on Fashion and Black History began to get noticed nationally and internationally. James will be lecturing as part of a series for the Museum and their Shifting Narratives Symposium.
We’re pleased to announce the location for Episode 2 of Styled by James: The Tour. That’s right, we’re coming to Westport, Connecticut on April 24th. We’ll be at South Moon Under and we’re transforming the store to accommodate a live studio audience.

James is pleased to announce that he’ll be doing an Instagram takeover for The Gregory hotel during New York Fashion Week. Starting on Wednesday and going into Thursday, James will be providing an intimate and behind the scenes look at the shows during New York Fashion Week for The Gregory Hotel in New York.
